Morning coffee for our neighborhood.

Our Family

RYAN, GRACE & Roger

Ryan and Grace met opening a restaurant in Austin, TX in 2015. Since then, they have spent almost a decade together running fine dining restaurants in Texas and California. While working nights, they fell in love over coffee. Their hope is to bring their expertise in hospitality to the everyday lives of their community, as they believe great service doesn’t require a special occasion.

GRACE GATES

O W N E R

Grace Gates was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but luckily spent her formative years on the Central Coast at The Cate School. After attending Emerson College, she made her way to Texas, catching the hospitality bug at Austin restaurants like Emmer & Rye and Launderette. Her passion and experience in food, wine and service eventually led her to the position of Food & Beverage Director at The Carpenter Hotel. After nearly 6 years in Austin, Grace returned to the Central Coast in 2020 to be the opening General Manager at Los Olivos restaurant Bar Le Cote. She is a believer in the power of community, and finds hospitality to be a joyful force that brings all of our lives together.

RYAN DOBOSH

O W N E R

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Ryan has loved coffee since before he can remember. He studied theatre at the University of Washington before discovering a passion for the hospitality industry. It was in Texas, while working at Uchi Austin’s flagship sushi restaurant, that he became a true believer in the power of a great meal and the magic of exceptional service. After opening Uchi Houston alongside James Beard Award winner Chef Tyson Cole, he returned to Seattle to join Renee Erickson’s all-star team at the oyster-bar-turned-phenomenon called The Walrus & The Carpenter. In 2021, he took the position of General Manager at Michelin starred Central Coast darling, Bell’s. He looks forward to using all of the lessons these great places have taught him about hospitality in a new and welcoming way. Thanks for reading all of this. Cheers!
